Andi and Martin are taking a year-long sabbatical from May 2016 to travel anywhere and everywhere.  We started in Europe with our Land Rover Defender called Baloo, converted for wild camping.  We travelled all the way up to the very north of Norway and saw the midnight sun, then continued down to the south of Greece, meeting friends, family, travellers and strangers on the way.  After leaving Baloo behind, we spent a week in Singapore – staying with a squash monkey – and then headed to Australia.  We started in Melbourne at Christmas, covered the great ocean road, and then made our way up the east coast to Cairns, on the greyhound bus network.  Then we hired a camper for 8 days to travel to the red centre, and Uluru.  Now, on our final leg, we’re in South America – starting in Ushuaia, perhaps the southernmost city in the world, travelling north through Argentina, Chile, Peru and Ecuador, and then east through Bolivia and, finally, Brasil.

We will try to keep everyone up to date on the blog with a range of stories, route updates, practical information and all our highs and lows. Or visit us on facebookIf you have any comments or advice we’d also love to hear from you.
